Delete your Clario account

You can delete your Clario account and its data yourself at any time, in the app or on the web dashboard. Deletion is permanent and happens straight away.

In the Clario app

  1. 1Open Clario and sign in.
  2. 2Go to the Settings tab.
  3. 3Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. 4Confirm. Your account and data are deleted straight away and you are signed out.

On the web dashboard

  1. 1Sign in to the dashboard with the same account.
  2. 2Open Settings → Delete account.
  3. 3Type “delete” to confirm, tick “I understand my data can’t be recovered” and choose Delete for good.

What is deleted

  • Your account and profile: name, email, sign-in details and settings.
  • All your transactions, accounts, budgets, bills, spending limits and jars. If you belong to someone else’s shared jar, your share and your contribution history are removed from it.
  • Your bank connections: we remove your Plaid bank connections at Plaid, and delete your Monobank tokens and connection details from our servers.
  • Your AI chats, chat summaries and AI memory facts.
  • Every session: all your signed-in devices are signed out.

What is kept, and for how long

Your account and data are removed from our production database straight away. A few copies age out on a fixed schedule:

  • Backups and logs: encrypted database backups age out within 14 days, and server logs within 30 days.
  • Pseudonymous analytics events (keyed by a random ID, with no name or email): kept for up to 24 months.

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in your store’s subscription settings so you aren’t charged again.

Can’t sign in?

Email us from the email address on your Clario account and ask us to delete it. We’ll check the request comes from the account owner, delete the account and its data, and reply within 30 days.
