1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and keep you signed in. This policy explains which cookies the Clario website uses.

2. Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

The Clario website uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies for sign-in, security and your language choice. They cannot be switched off without breaking those features:

  • Session cookies (clario_access_token, clario_refresh_token): set only when you sign in to the web dashboard. They are Secure (HTTPS only), HTTP-only and SameSite=Strict. The access cookie lasts 15 minutes and the refresh cookie 7 days, and both are cleared when you sign out.
  • Account display cookie (clario_user): stores your name, email and plan so the dashboard can show them. It lasts 7 days and is cleared when you sign out.
  • Security cookie (clario_csrf_token): protects forms against cross-site request forgery. It lasts 1 hour.
  • Language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE): remembers the language you chose.
  • Your cookie choice itself is saved in your browser's local storage (clario_cookie_consent), not in a cookie.

3. Analytics and Advertising

  • No advertising cookies: the Clario website does not use cookies for advertising or marketing.
  • Google Analytics (optional): loaded only if you choose "Allow analytics" in the cookie banner. It sets Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga) to measure visits, with IP anonymization turned on. If you choose "Essential only", it never loads.
  • Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights: measure aggregate page views and page performance without using cookies.

4. Managing Cookies

Essential cookies are needed for the website to work, so they are always on. Analytics cookies are off unless you allow them. To change your analytics choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the cookie banner will appear again.

To control cookies in your browser: (1) Open your browser's settings. (2) Navigate to Privacy & Security or Cookies settings. (3) Choose which cookies to allow or block. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent Clario from functioning correctly.

The Clario mobile app does not use cookies. It uses analytics, crash reporting and ad measurement SDKs (Google Firebase, Meta), which you can control as described in our Privacy Policy.
